About
Background
I've spent eleven years working across design and development — from print layout at a small Portland studio to frontend architecture at a Series B startup. The thread through all of it is a conviction that clarity is a design principle, not just a content problem.
Most of my recent work focuses on editorial and content-driven sites: publications, portfolios, small e-commerce, and brand sites where the writing matters more than the interface. I'm drawn to projects where restraint is the hardest design decision — where the challenge isn't adding more, but knowing when to stop.
When I'm not designing or coding, I'm usually reading about typography history, walking along the Willamette, or experimenting with letterpress printing at a community studio downtown.
